Roof replacement

Roof replacement in Northern Colorado

When a roof is past repairing, whether from hail or from age, we take it down to the deck and build it again, shingle or metal. Most of the roofs we replace are paid for through a homeowner's insurance claim after hail, and every job starts with a free inspection and a straight answer.

What a full replacement includes

A replacement here means a full tear off and rebuild. We strip the roof, check the decking and replace it where it needs it, lay synthetic underlayment and install the new roof. Flashing, valleys, pipe boots and ridge vents get the same attention as the rest of the roof, because that is where roofs actually fail.

Most single family homes are done in a day or two, depending on size and pitch. Tarps go down before the tear off, a magnetic nail sweep goes over the yard after, and every piece of debris is hauled out the same day.

How a replacement goes

1

The free inspection

We get on the roof, photograph what we find and tell you honestly whether you need a new roof or a repair.

2

The claim, if there is hail damage

We write up the damage for your insurer and meet your adjuster on the roof. The claim stays your call, and we take out of pocket jobs too.

3

The build

Tear off, decking checked, synthetic underlayment and the new roof, then the clean up. We leave the work area better than it was when we arrived.

Shingle or metal

Most of the roofs we install are architectural asphalt shingles from Owens Corning, GAF, Malarkey and Tamko, the most common roof in Weld and Larimer County. We also build standing seam and metal panel roofs, which stand up well to hail, wind and the Front Range sun.

Questions about roof replacement

How do I know if I need a new roof or a repair?

That is what the free inspection is for. We get on the roof, look at it properly and tell you which one it needs. If a repair is the honest answer, we will say so.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single family homes take a day or two, depending on the size and pitch of the roof.

Will insurance pay for my new roof?

If hail damaged it, it may be covered, and that depends on your policy and your insurer. We document the damage and meet your adjuster, and the claim stays your call.
