5 Scream-Worthy Haunted Houses in Northern Colorado

Don’t miss these 5 haunted houses, mazes, corn fields, and ghost towns in Northern Colorado that will leave you screaming with fright.

It’s that time of year where ghosts, villains, monsters, and bone-chilling terrors await.

Think you have to head to Denver or Colorado Springs for the best haunted thrills this Halloween? Think again!

Terror in the Corn

Anderson Farms  6728 County Road 3 1/4, Erie, CO 80516  303-828-5210

Erie’s Terror in the Corn at Anderson Farms is unique and especially terrifying because it involves 3 haunted parts of your experience – a wild hayride, a spooky walk from the middle of a cornfield, and a horrifying path making your way to end in their ghost town. All three sections are full of scary scenes and hidden ghouls at every turn. It’s not a maze so you don’t have to worry about getting lost, but you’ll have plenty of other fears on your mind as frightening haunts pop out. You can arrive as early as 10am on Thursdays and Fridays and 9am on Saturdays and Sundays for your Terror in the Corn experience.

Nightmare City

2393 w. 27th Street, Greeley, Colorado 720-884-7584

Nightmare City has moved to a new location this year, next to the ARC on 27th. They have managed to combine the classic haunted house experience with every worst nightmare you’ve ever had. Every room is completely different, full of terrors sure to leave you horrified. Because this haunted house is so unique, it is incredibly popular and there may be lines, but the scare is worth the wait. Don’t miss this Northern Colorado haunt this October! Follow them on Facebook to keep up with their current spooks.

Scream Acres

Fritzler Corn Maze 20861 County Road 33, La Salle, CO (970) 737-2129

Just south of Greeley, you will find the horror-filled world of Scream Acres, a haunted corn maze full of creepy monsters lurking in the darkness. Their special effects fill your world with spooky sights, sounds, and unexpected terror as you scream your way through the corn. They offer an indoor Ghost Haunt inside of an abandoned ghost town, the 25-foot steel Verti-Scope that will spin your world, and the Alcorntraz zombie slayer paintball adventure.

Creepy Walk in the Woods

1750 Savage Rd Loveland, CO 80538

Unlike other haunted houses or corn mazes, creepy walk in the woods drops you in the middle of Savage Woods, which is fittingly right at the base of Devil’s Backbone. Unguided, you will try to make your way through the woods full of the vilest creatures you’ve ever seen and unseen terror waiting for you with every step. Monsters, degenerates, and wild creatures await you in this Creepy Walk in the Woods outside of Loveland.

Check them out October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2017. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tours start at 7 p.m.

Harrington’s Haaunted House of Horrors

1601 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO 80538 (970) 568-8370

Scream for a cause this Halloween! Harrington’s Haaunted House of Horrors supports Harrington Arts Alliance, a local non-profit. In this year’s haunted indoor maze, you will get lost in all sorts of horrifying twists and turns. They are open October 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th, 29th, and, of course, Halloween night on October 31st.
