Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Inflatable snowmen are going up, colored light strings illuminate neighborhoods, and there is a magical glow everywhere you look. Don’t miss these 5 spectacularly fun Christmas light events happening in Northern Colorado this holiday season!

1. Windsor Wonderland

Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017
Noon – 5 p.m.
Downtown Windsor-5th and Ash Street/Boardwalk Park

Santa Claus is coming to town on December 2nd on the Great Western Railway! Get your picture taken with him between noon and 5pm. There will also be hay rides, activities for kids, live holiday performances, and even free hot chocolate and s’mores!

2. Loveland’s Festival of Lights

Wednesday, Nov. 29th, 2017

5:00pm – 8:00pm

Loveland Downtown Partnership & Downtown Development Authority

A free event in downtown Loveland with a tree lighting ceremony, local entertainment, and even Santa makes an appearance! Feed your sweet tooth at their s’mores station, stay warm with a mug of hot chocolate, and enjoy the free carriage rides and the tree decorating competition!

3. Longmont Lights

Dec. 8 and 9, 2017

5:00pm – 8:00pm

Parking lots are located around Roosevelt Park and downtown locations.

This free event has all kinds of Christmas excitement! There will be toasty firepits, steaming hot cocoa, concerts, and craft-making in Santa’s workshop. Visit the live reindeer, take a take ride, and dust off your skates for a night of ice skating. There will be food trucks, a parade, and don’t miss the fireworks show!

4. The Greeley Grizwalds

Thanksgiving through New Years Day

Every year, Mike Medhurst creates Greeley’s most spectacular Christmas light display using over 150,000 lights, 25 animated holiday figures, and an impressive Christmas tree. The display is synced to music, so make sure to tune your radio to 92.9 as you drive by!

5. Anheuser Busch Brewery Lights

Enjoy a winter wonderland with a brewery twist, Colorado-style! Come wander through over a hundred trees in their holiday tree maze and watch their digital light show synced to holiday music. Enjoy s’mores over an open fire or a big bowl of beer chili from their biergarten. There are complimentary beer samples for visitors 21 years and older, crafts for the younger visitors, and twinkling lights everywhere you look. Admission is free, but if you’d like a train ride, it will cost you $1.
